Boston Lightworks Sullivan's Island Lighthouse Lamp
Sullivan's Island Lighthouse is another somewhat contemporary structure with a definitive industrial look to it. Built in 1962 of concrete, steel and aluminum, the tower stands 140 feet in height and is equipped with and optic DCB24 light source. Sullivan's Island stands at the mouth of the Cooper and Wando Rivers where they flow together to the Atlantic, and it is in site of Fort Sumter and Fort Moultrie near Charleston. This lighthouse is an important navigational aid for this area of Atlantic.
