Young America was designed by FARR YACHT DESIGN and sponsored by New York Yacht Club to challenge Team New Zealand. Young America was overcome with technical and structural problems during the challenger trials and was forced to abandon. She was eliminated before the semifinals began. Although the Team met with technical difficulties, we believe that Young America is one of the most strikingly beautiful America's Cup Challenger in 2000.
