British Butler Table by Authentic Models
The name Khyber Pass in Afghanistan rings of countless battles, from Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan to the colonial armies of Queen Victoria, Empress of India. The Brits didn't want to campaign without being able to enjoy their afternoon tea, and loved to bag a tiger or two between battles. To keep at least a semblance of home-sweet-home comfort, the pack train (mules, camels, elephants and the like) carried campaign furniture for officers and staff. It was made of solid mahogany or rosewood with indestructible brass hardware. It all sounds quaint, but is really not much different than the recent transportation of open-air cinemas to the US Army.- Made of solid rich mahogany
